So many trailers, so let’s get right to it. First up is our very first look at the final installment of director Todd Phillips’ Hangover trilogy. The Hangover Part III brings back Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis as the three best friends that anyone could have and they’re going back to Vegas where it all began. The overall plot is still being kept under wraps and this teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much except that Alan’s dad played by Jeffrey Tambor passes away and John Goodman shoots someone in cold blood in front of the guys. The official terse synopsis goes like this: “This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.” A laugh-out-loud teaser and the promise that this one won’t mimic the wedding/get drunk and blackout/wake up and remember nothing formula from the first two films should have you extra excited for the Wolfpack’s last hurrah. It’s not much, but it’s something. Whoever runs the Facebook page for The Hangover Part II uploaded this image and tagged it with the words “May 2013.” It was in March when director Todd Phillips announced that the third installment in the comedic franchise would be the last, and that it’s slated to hit theatres May 24, 2013. What this imagery does, then, is simply solidify this previously confirmed news with some nice imagery; perhaps it’s a logo we’ll soon spot on the movie posters. The Wolfpack is coming back for one last drug-induced adventure. Where will it go this time? Plot is still under wraps, but sources say Part III will not adhere to the same “what happened last night?” that went down in the first two movies, and that this one will involve Phil, Stu, and Doug break Alan out of a mental institution. We await the trailer for final confirmation.

Last week on Thursday Warner Bros. released a press statement confirming the development of another Hangover movie starring The Wolfpack–that is, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis. A studio exec Jeff Robinov said, “We are extremely pleased to have Todd Phillips and the guys back together again for another ‘Hangover,’ and we look forward to collaborating with them on another great movie.” Todd Phillips, director of the first two Hangover films, reacted like this. “I’m so excited to embark on another ‘Hangover’ film with Bradley, Ed and Zach. We’re going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions.” And so it’s decided; The Hangover Part III will be the last in the hysterical franchise. Though the plot is still being kept under wraps, there is speculation that the three-quel will not adhere to the same “what happened last night?” forumla that has been used in the past.
