Chris Brown & Rihanna are making their long overdue combacks

Graffiti, Chris Brown’s next studio album release, is set to drop December 15.  “I Can Transform Ya” is the first single.  It features Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz.  Choreography rocks.

Rihanna’s fourth studio album, Rated R, releases November 20.  “Te Amo” is an unconfirmed single off the album.

I like mostly what I hear and more what I see.  It will definitely be interesting to see how these two climb back to the top.  I have a feeling it won’t be too difficult for them.

Music video: Drake – “Forever” (Featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne, & Eminem)

There’s a reason this song made its way to the number one spot on the iTunes chart and still resides in the top ten.  It’s good.  I will point out, though, that some of the featured artists do bring it down some.  Yeezy and Weezy’s verses are weak in comparison to Eminem’s crazy good verse that follows.  It’s worth the listen for the catchy chorus, and even more so for Em’s ingenious rhyme-fest at the end.  Download “Forever” on iTunes here.

Single, stripped: Mr Hudson – “Supernova” (Live w/ String Quartet)

Mr Hudson is back with another hit.  Actually, we have already seen much from his single “Supernova,” including the original song and a music video featuring Kanye West.  Here we have a stripped down version of the track; it is a live rendition that features a string quartet.  When I say stripped, I mean it; there is no auto-tune, no techno-esque bass line, and even the featured artist (KW) is absent.  Hudson shines on this track as his true vocal and production talent take center stage without all the bells and whistles behind him.  Listen to it below.  Intrigued?  Download it here.  Haven’t heard the original version or seen the music video?  Check after the break for it.

Music Video: Shakira – “She Wolf”

Shakira is back, and looks better than ever.  “She Wolf,” her new single off her upcoming album (which shares the same name and is due out in October) is an ecclectic tune with a hint of soft techno.  Shakira seems to be heading in a different direction with “She Wolf,” veering away from her pop-ish sound of the past and moving towards a Euro-pop techno vibe with the ever popular auto-tune enhancement (slight as they may be).  She is a very talented musician; she’s got a great voice and still-hot dance moves.  Let’s accept the new (and hopefully improved) Shakira and see what she can pull off, starting with this chart-climbing single.  …And did I say she looks amazing in this video?
