We’ve seen our fair share of awesome Kinect hacks, but none of them compare to what you’re about to witness here. What happens when the Xbox 360 motion sensor is programmed to become self-aware? Total destruction, that’s what. Go ahead and categorize this is an epic fail. It is a machine, so what did you expect to happen?

This video is disturbing, unsettling, and hilarious all at the same time. The upcoming Yogi Bear animated movie doesn’t hit theatres until this Friday, but that didn’t stop 25-year-old animator Edmund Earle from making a parody video that went instantly viral. He’s billing it as a “parody” in hopes that Warner Bros. (the studio behind the real Yogi Bear movie) do not take it down from the ‘Net. He makes it clear that the video is independently made and that he has no association with the movie. Anyway, the title of the viral hit is “Yogi Bear Alternate Ending: Booboo Kills Yogi” and it’s nearly a shot-by-shot recreation of the final scene from The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, a 2007 Western starring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck. Taking a comically dark route in this parody was “an organic creation”, Earle told the WSJ (that’s right–the WSJ has already interviewed him and the video was uploaded to YouTube earlier today). I’m not surely exactly what it is–the music, the way this short story is told through the eyes of the characters?–but again there’s something very unsettling about watching a famed cartoon go down like this. Ah well, in the end it’s an extremely well made parody and you should watch it, unless of course you’re under the age of 12.
NTSF:SD:SUV. That stands for National Terrorism Strikeforce: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle, and it’s an action parody series coming to Adult Swim. If you happen to a fan of Rob Corddry’s Childrens Hospital there’s no way you can forget the totally insane mock commercial for NTSF:SD:SUV that aired during a season 2 episode a few months back. The commercial, directed by Eric Appel, was strong enough by itself to sway the network past the pilot stage and directly to a 12 episode season order. The show’s mastermind is Paul Sheer (Human Giant) and it follows in the footsteps of Childrens Hospital. While the Corddry web series turned TV show is an over-the-top self-referential parody of medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy and many others, Sheer’s NTSF:SD:SUV promises to play the same game spoofing all the crime procedurals. Sheer will serve as creator, writer, and star and will executive produce with Jon Stern (Childrens Hospital). The trailer embedded above features actors Rob Riggle, Brandon Johnson, and June Raphael but they are not confirmed as series regulars. Expect NTSF:SD:SUV to air on Adult Swim sometime in 2011. NTSF:SD:SUV. Sorry, it’s so much fun to say.

Sure it’s a parody but it’s a super creative real life take on the classic Nick animated program.

Brendan Becker, aka InversePhase, is just like the rest of us. He listened to Cee-Lo Green’s insanely catchy tune “F–K You” and couldn’t get it out of his head. What makes him different, however, is his innate ability to transform the track into 8-bit bliss and come up with all new lyrics that follows the rocky relationship between the aging NES and fashionable Sega Genesis during the late 1980s. The original song features Cee-Lo cursing out a girl who left him for a richer man; here it’s Nintendo gettin’ a little sumpthin’ off its chest.

You all remember the track “Gin and Juice” from Snoop Dogg’s 1994 album Doggystyle, right? Well the song was recently given the spoken word treatment and I can’t stop listening to it. Dim the lights, close your eyes, and click play to immerse yourself in a soothing experience featuring splashing ocean waves, light piano keys, and a deep, reassuring voice. Like what you hear? Click the download link for keeps, and head over to YouTube to hear The Gourds’ country version of the track.

Apple recently updated (and made more explicit) their App Store Review Guidelines. A choice quote: “We have over 250,000 apps in the App Store. We don’t need any more Fart apps.” Developer Conniption Entertainment responded with Fart Studio.

Yeah you’ve already seen the original trailer loads of times. Hell, you’ve probably seen the movie more than once already. Plus this Dora video. But give this re-dub trailer a look-see. It is…special.

Brought to you by the How It Should Have Ended crew. Who also toyed with the ending of Lost. The Juno reference is killer! And did you catch Felicia Day all dolled up as her avatar?
The Key of Awesome, the comedy group behind the amazing Ke$ha “Tik Tok” parody, takes on the hit single from Eminem’s Recovery. Lil’ Megan Fox and Tiny Dominic Monaghan do a great job at spinning the domestic-violence theme of the original music video into a cute story between two school children in an ongoing argument. And credit must be given to the actors for hilarious impersonations of Eminem and Rihanna. “Did you just call me a doo-doo pie? Well that’s alright, I know you are but what am I?” Good stuff.

From the initial close up to the slow darting pans across a Sistine Chapel-influenced environment in the clouds, this parody of Kanye West’s “Power” music video painting is frame-by-frame spot on. It’s college in Ye’s world!
