The “Fireflies” and “Call Me Maybe” stars teamed up to produce the summer hit “Good Time” and now there’s a fun music video to go along with it. Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen hang out and dance around in the wilderness in this feel-good, no-frills clip.

Music video: Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, 2 Chainz in “MERCY”
Kanye West and a chunk of his G.O.O.D. Music crew Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz light it up in this black-and-white set in widescreen music video for “MERCY,” the first single off the G.O.O.D. compilation album now officially titled Cruel Summer. As the camera swerves left and right the rappers take turns spitting verses, all the while their egos replicate thanks to the inclusion of some neat special effects. Also, a Lamborghini and a couple motocycles linger in the background as they should. Kid Cudi, Cyhi da Prynce, and Teyana Taylor make special appearances.
Cruel Summer is on track to drop sometime this year.
G.O.O.D. Music: The Throne drops “No Church In The Wild” music video, Pusha T teams with The-Dream for “Exodus 23:1”
It’s been a rather busy week for valuable members of the G.O.O.D. Music family. On Tuesday the music video for “No Church In The Wild” dropped; it’s the third single off Kanye West & Jay-Z’s collaborative effort Watch The Throne. Unlike the previous two singles that also received clips (“Otis” and “Ni**as In Paris“), this riot-themed music video directed by Romain Gavras and shot in Prague does not feature the Throne duo nor featured artist Frank Ocean. Still, like everything West outputs it is visually pleasing and deserves at least one go-around. Watch it after the break.
Rising G.O.O.D. Music rapper Pusha T released a new track titled “Exodus 23:1” featuring The-Dream. The very colorful clip does include Pusha as he stirs controversy with rival rapper Lil Wayne and his Young Money crew. Watch above, then snag a free download here. Continue reading G.O.O.D. Kanye West releases artsy “Lost in the World” music video, two more G.O.O.D. Music tracks
A long overdue music video for Kanye West’s “Lost in the World” released late last week. The Justin Vernon-assisted track comes from West’s 2010 masterpiece My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and the visionary rapper entrusted filmmaker Ruth Hogben to direct this black-and-white clip. ‘Ye stars alongside his trusty models in this flashy, artistic rendition that certainly complements the heavy drums and emotions that this standout track elicits. Enjoy, above.
Also last week Kanye dropped not one but two new tracks on his website: a remix of the Cheif Keef song “I Don’t Like” featuring Pusha T, Jadakiss, and Big Sean and a track titled “Burn” featuring Big Sean and Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill. Listen and download after the break. Continue reading Kanye West releases artsy “Lost in the World” music video, two more G.O.O.D. Music tracks
Watch mini Kanye represent in this “Way Too Cold” unofficial music video
Caleb Harper is a G. The youngster stars as mini Kanye West in this unofficial, brilliant music video for Ye’s new DJ Khaled collabo track “Way Too Cold” (formally titled “Theraflu”). It comes from director Ashley Smith and aside from the seemingly random masked political figures, she did a fantastic job putting this clip together. Little Caleb doesn’t miss a lyric or a beat, and he’s the reason why you should drop whatever you’re doing and mash play right this second. Mad props, kid.
Owl City, Mark Hoppus-assisted single ‘Dementia’ leaks
Owl City, aka Adam Young, is readying his fourth studio album and here’s proof. Though the followup to 2009’s Ocean Eyes and last year’s All Things Bright and Beautiful has yet to be named, a track from said album has surfaced on the ‘Net and it’s called “Dementia.” Young collaborated with Blink-182 bassist and lead vocalist Mark Hoppus to produce the electro-rockin’ new single and you can take a listen above. Can we expect his next album to contain more of a rock than pop vibe? After listening to this ditty I’d say signs point to an enthusiastic yes. Young has not marked the upcoming album’s release date yet.
Bonus! Somehow this came and went under my radar… Young released a trippy music video for his track “Deer in the Headlights” off All Things Bright and Beautiful. It features the Delorean from Back to the Future and Young’s female counterpart Lights. Watch it after the break.

Music videos: Drake – “Take Care” (Featuring Rihanna) & “HYFR” (Featuring Lil Wayne)
Drake has released not one but two music videos featuring songs off his second studio album Take Care. Embedded above is the clip for the very popular radio banger “Take Care” and it brings the Canadian rapper together with featured guest Rihanna. Director Yoann Lemoine (Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”) goes the artsy route and clashes an intimate Drake and Rihanna coupling with slo-mo shots of a bull, a bird, and snowy mountaintops. After the break you’ll find the music video for the more upbeat “HYFR”, which stands for Hell Yeah F**king Right. Featured artist Lil Wayne and other Cash Money members join Drake as he celebrates his Jewish heritage. Another ‘Guild’ music video: “I’m the One That’s Cool”
Felicia Day and her team of Guildies have released their third music video based on Day’s wildly popular web series The Guild. Jed Whedon directed and co-wrote the song with Day. How does it compare to the insanely catchy “(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar” and the Bollywood themed rompus from the past? Click play and find out for yourself! Fun fact: I assisted in the making of this video. So watch it and share it and love it.

Music video: David Guetta – Turn Me On (Featuring Nicki Minaj)
Check out this steampunk-tastic music video for David Guetta’s popular electronic dance track “Turn Me On.” It features the French DJ as a mad scientist intrigued by robots and the Trinidadian raptress plays “a mixture of the past, present, and the future” (according to the clip’s director Sanji) as she is part human and part robot. The music video makes great use of CGI and blends it with live action and this results in an eerie and enjoyable video to accompany the track. When you’re done watching jump after the break to go behind the scenes with Guetta and Sanji. Continue reading Music video: David Guetta — Turn Me On (Featuring Nicki Minaj)
Music video: Kanye West & Jay-Z – “Ni**as In Paris”
Following “Otis“, “Ni**as In Paris” is Kanye West and Jay-Z’s second single off their collaborative effort Watch The Throne. For the music video, ‘Ye and Jay spliced together footage from their recent Watch The Throne tour and edited in sexy models, jungle cats, and an insane amount of strobe lights to create a psychedelic, if not headache inducing, trip. West, who directed the clip, had to include a “Viewer discretion is advised” warning at the front of it for people with photosensitive epilepsy… so there’s that. If you think you can handle it, mash play and see what it was like to experience the WTT tour through the trippy, admittedly creative mind of Mr. West. If you can get past all of the lights, that kaleidoscope effect is actually pretty neat and effective.
Music video: Lady Gaga – “Marry the Night”
Every time Gaga releases a music video, you never really know exactly what you’re going to get. Like some other in her collection, the nearly 14-minute clip for “Marry the Night” plays like a short film. In fact, the music doesn’t start until Gaga pushes in an 8-track tape at the 8:47 mark. Before that happens all kinds of erratic scenes fill the screen. In the beginning Gaga is wheeled into a hospital ward that appears to be located inside a hotel, and during this part she narrates her inspirations behind the nurses’ wardrobe, among other things. Once the music kicks in so does the choreography; Gaga and her dancers once again show off their fancy moves and impress. Go on and grab some popcorn then mash play to experience another wild glimpse into the mind of Lady Gaga.
