The music video that takes you into the making of a music video
META ALERT! This visually splendid music video directed by Mathieu Wothke is unlike any other you’ve seen because it puts you into the director’s head and takes you on a journey through the process of making a music video. In other words, the music video gets put together in the music video. Have you given you a headache yet? Just watch the video and you’ll see what I mean.
Oh, right. The song is “Very Busy People” by The Limousines but in honesty you’re watching for the behind-the-scenes magic, not the music itself. Unless of course this is your cup of tea…

Music video: Caspa & Mr Hudson – “Love Never Dies” (+ new Hudson track “Angel Eyes”)
Look what we’ve got here. Two new tracks from UK phenom Mr Hudson. If you haven’t listened to his debut solo album go ahead and download Straight No Chaser right now. Got it? Good. Moving on… Not too long ago Hudson was approached by Caspa, a well known Dubstep producer from London, who asked Hudson to invent lyrics for his electronic dance track “Back For The First Time”. After listening to the instrumental beat Hudson immediately agreed to make a hook for the track and, well, take a listen to it in the video above. After listening to both versions, Hudson’s easily takes the cake; his words perfectly match up with Caspa’s building tempo and make for a great song that can now receive ample radio time. And apparently “the track has been lighting up dancefloors & airwaves globally”. The music video was directed by Mo Ali; make sure to peek after the break to watch a making-of video that accompanies the music video. You can download the track at iTunes; it’s available on a 5-track EP.
Next up is a brand spankin’ new track from Mr Hudson. “Angel Eyes” carries a unique, dark, gritty sound that we are not used to hearing from Hudson’s repitoire. The slow vocals and flow are very laid back and Hudson manages to maintain his edge quite effortlessly. It really sounds like a song fellow G.O.O.D. Music artist Kid Cudi would come up with (it’s not as dark as “Solo Dolo” but that strange, eerie vibe remains). There’s no word on whether or not this track comes from his next yet-to-be-titled album. Preview and download it below.

Behind the scenes with Mr Hudson
Just last week UK artist Mr Hudson finally dropped his debut solo album Straight No Chaser in the U.S. On his YouTube page Hudson posted a number of behind-the-scenes featurettes that show how much effort he put into making the record. I embedded my favorite video above; it’s a peek at how the killer track “Time” was constructed. The video shows how frustration can be turned into a fine work of art with some hard work and perseverence. Watching Hudson figure out the song’s skeleton on the piano and then peering into the studio to see him listen to a mastered version of it is quite satisfying. Look after the break for the making of “Anyone But Him” and “Everything Is Broken”, with appearences by Kanye West and Kid Cudi, respectively. The Making-Of: GEICO Commercial – "Somebody's Watching Me"
We know all of you catch yourselves bobbing your head to the new Geico commercials featuring their new mascot, the stacks of bills with googly eyes. What you may not be aware of is that the last few words you hear with the catchy beat at the end of these commercials actually come from an entire song–a remake of the 1980s single, “Somebody’s Watching Me.” The remix is made by up-and-coming producers Mysto & Pizzi.
