#LOL: Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake engage in a real-life Twitter conversation

Late Night host Jimmy Fallon has another viral hit on his hands. In what always proves to be a perfect comedic pairing, Fallon invites Justin Timberlake to a conversation filled with Twitter’s most prolific symbol, the hashtag. So now when you see people walking the street tapping their fingers and saying hashtag you’ll know where it all came from: this bit of genius.

Just for hits and even more giggles, jump after the break to watch Fallon face off against Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Stephen Merchant in one epic “lip sync battle.” Continue reading #LOL: Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake engage in a real-life Twitter conversation

Jimmy Fallon is Falsenberg in ‘Breaking Bad’ parody “Joking Bad”

Jimmy Fallon and the team at Late Night are back again with yet another highly entertaining digital short parodying a popular TV series. This time J.F. takes on the popular AMC series-coming-to-an-end Breaking Bad. Fallon is Walter White, naturally, and announcer Steve Higgins is his PIC Jesse Pinkman. Instead of dealing meth they’re giving away good jokes, hence the title “Joking Bad.” It’s certainly not the best BB parody I’ve seen but it’s worth a watch since it’s packed with great nods to the show that fans will surely gobble up as fast as Tuco Salamanca can snort Blue Sky off a sharp knife. A slew of super special guests participated in this and I won’t comment on them so as not to ruin the surprise. Bitch.

Watch the latest & greatest viral sensation right here, RIGHT NOW!

Feast your eyes and ears on this truly bizarre and admittedly catchy…well, I’m not sure what to call it. It gets more ridiculous as it goes on, but in the best way possible. There’s just no way to properly hype what you are about to watch–words simply cannot do it much justice. So mash play and ask yourself, WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY? Side effects of that question are extreme confusion and plentiful laughter to the point of tears. This is quite possibly the greatest thing to come out of the Internet. Like ever.

When you’re finished, download the MP3 here. You’re welcome.

In case you’re wondering, the EDM-inspired song and accompanying music video “The Fox” was imagined by Norwegian brothers Bård and Vegard Ylvisåker. Together they are known as Ylvis and the musically-inclined comedic duo concocted this stroke of genius to promote their talk show that airs in Norway.

TV parodies: ‘Breaking Bad’: The Musical, ‘Arrested Development’, the video game, ‘Walking Dead’ bad lip-reading & more!

There’s TV and then there’s the Internet. The two make quite the couple. Here are some fascinating offspring I’ve hand-picked for your viewing pleasure.

The first two videos come from the world of Breaking Bad. Hanging above is “Breaking Bad: The Middle School Musical” starring kids cooking meth blue rock candy. Yes, it is twisted and it is also brilliant and hilarious. It also does a pretty great job at summing up seasons one through five so spoiler freaks beware.

Stephen Colbert gets Daft Punk’d, performs his star-studded rendition of “Get Lucky”

This is too damn good so I’ll be brief. Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report had been hyping Daft Punk’s first live performance since their latest album Random Access Memories on his show. But then the French electronic duo cancelled their visit to the Report at the last minute due to contractual obligations with CC’s sister network MTV (they are both owned by media conglomerate Viacom). In a fit of anger and some booze, Colbert spilled to his audience what has supposed to be a surprise for VMA viewers: Daft Punk is scheduled to perform live at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month. It was the Report or the VMAs and Daft Punk chose the latter and legalese with MTV made it impossible for the artists to perform on Colbert’s stage, too.

Now that you have the story down pat, watch Colbert tell his side of the story in his entertaining way in the clip embedded above. And then, after the break, watch the host perform his very own rendition of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” with many, many surprise guests. It truly is a riot. Perhaps Daft Punk’s absence was a godsend because I doubt their live version of “Get Lucky” could ever best what Colbert put together here. Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Ed Helms & Will Forte ARE Mumford & Sons in the band’s “Hopeless Wanderer” music video

If you aren’t laughing out loud with happy tears streaming down your face by the end of this video then something is clearly wrong with you. English folk rock band Mumford & Sons have enlisted funnymen Jason Sudeikis (SNL), Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Ed Helms (The Office), and Will Forte (SNL) to play far-out versions of the four bandmates in this twisted, self-deprecating parody. The music video for “Hopeless Wanderer,” a track off M&S’ album Babel, gets sillier and sillier as it goes on and by the end you want to watch it all over again. From the unsuspecting start to the full on make-out sesh between Sudeikis and Forte, this is one unforgettable clip that proves Mumford can take a hit, laugh at themselves, and enjoy the ride.

Comic Con: Beloved Disney characters join ‘Once Upon A Time’ this season

A princess, a pirate, a wizard, a queen, a knight, and a savior join forces in search of Neverland. That’s what this season 3 teaser masked as a season 2 recapper hypes as near the fall return of ABC’s Once Upon A Time.

The Once team did a good job at not revealing much, but they did say Neverland will play a big part in season 3. And who will we meet there? Well, Peter Pan of course. “Peter Pan has a complicated motivation,” said series co-showrunner Adam Horowitz. “It’s a little different than you’ve seen before.” Added showrunner Eddy Kitsis, “He might be frightening. To some people.” Also on the horizon is the formal introduction of Tinker Bell who has “a surprising connection” to somebody we already know and Ariel aka The Little Mermaid.

After the break you can watch two clips that were screened first at Comic Con. The first teases The Little Mermaids arrival, and the second is an extended look at a funny bit made for the season 2 DVD called “Good Morning Storybrooke” featuring some of the cast.

Elsewhere, it was announced that another Lost alum will be joining the Once family. Naveen Andrews (who played castaway Sayid Jarrah) will embody the villainous Jafar in the Once spinoff Once Upon A Time In Wonderland. Andrews will appear in the first episode as the season’s “very, very, very evil villain” and Kitsis promises his portrayal of the Aladdin character will be “very frightening.” Continue reading Comic Con: Beloved Disney characters join ‘Once Upon A Time’ this season

Comic Con: Freddy Highmore snaps at the real ‘Bates Motel’

Vera Farmiga aka Norma Bates just scooped up an Emmy nomination for Best Actress while her TV son Freddie Highmore was left in the dust. When the young Norman Bates stops by the Bates Motel writer’s room he begins to discover that the show’s executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin are very much feeding into Farmiga’s fame. Highmore doesn’t like it, so Cuse plans a trip to the real Bates Motel that’s still up at the Universal lot. And from there, things get…weird.

This video, originally screened at Comic Con, had me in a fit of laughter on more than one occasion: “Norman thinks about sunsets” … Cuse practicing his “Previously on” line … I mean, this is seriously funny stuff. Let’s not linger; get to the goods and hit play!

Comic Con: ‘Hannibal’ gag reel is LOL, obviously

Now here’s something you wouldn’t expect to come out of Bryan Fuller’s NBC serial killer thriller Hannibal: A GAG REEL! And a fine one, at that. Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen and the rest of the Hannibal cast do not disappoint this absolutely hysterical peek behind-the-scenes of the darkly violent and gruesome show. In my opinion, Mads steals the show at the dinner table when he calls Freddie Lounds…well, you’ll see!

To find out what’s in store for season 2, watch Fuller, Dancy, and exec producers David Slade and Martha de Laurentiis spill the beans in an informative and entertaining video interview conducted by TVLine that’s embedded after the break. Continue reading Comic Con: ‘Hannibal’ gag reel is LOL, obviously

Comic Con: Martin Freeman & Benedict Cumberbatch appear at ‘Sherlock’ panel

Comic Con hosted a Sherlock panel, but its two big stars Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch couldn’t make it in person. So they both filmed prerecorded bits for those in attendance and you can watch what they saw in the clip embedded above. Freeman is rocking some scraggly hair as he finishes shooting The Hobbit in New Zealand and Cumberbatch explains how he survived his big fall from the series 2 finale (or he attempts to, at least).

As you’re enjoying this humorous clip, know that lots more Sherlock is on the way. “As long as everyone wants to keep doing it, we’ll keep doing it,” shared creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss and producer Sue Vertue. “There is something lovely about the idea of Benedict and Martin aged 55, around the same fireplace, becoming the same age we associate with Holmes and Watson,” added Gatiss.

The Lonely Island counts down to ‘The Wack Album’ with new LOL material (video inside)

We knew it was in the works, and now here’s proof. The Lonely Island is about to drop their third fake rap album The Wack Album which follows their 2009 debut Incredibad and 2011’s Turtleneck & Chain. The 20-track release includes SNL Digital Short entries “YOLO” (featuring Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar) and “3-Way (The Golden Rule)” (featuring Justin Timberlake & Lady Gaga) as well as a slew of new material. That date is coming up quick (it’s this Tuesday) so now’s the perfect time to turn up your speakers and listen to all the Wack Wednesday clips at once!
