It’s about time LEGOs starred in their very own movie. From directing duo Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) comes The LEGO Movie, “the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO adventure.” Stars like Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman lend their voices to a mix of original and inspired characters like the Ninja Turtles and Wonder Woman. Arrested Development‘s Arnett is Batman, a role he was undoubtedly born to eventually play with that voice of his. Here’s the current synopsis:

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

The LEGO Movie assembles February 7, 2014.

Walt Disney Animation Studio’s next film following Wreck-It Ralph is Frozen, a comedy adventure that’s loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen.

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Above is a brief first-look trailer that unexpectedly had me bursting in laughter by the end. Frozen thaws November 27.
