So many trailers, so let’s get right to it. First up is our very first look at the final installment of director Todd Phillips’ Hangover trilogy. The Hangover Part III brings back Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis as the three best friends that anyone could have and they’re going back to Vegas where it all began. The overall plot is still being kept under wraps and this teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much except that Alan’s dad played by Jeffrey Tambor passes away and John Goodman shoots someone in cold blood in front of the guys. The official terse synopsis goes like this: “This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.” A laugh-out-loud teaser and the promise that this one won’t mimic the wedding/get drunk and blackout/wake up and remember nothing formula from the first two films should have you extra excited for the Wolfpack’s last hurrah. The Hangover Part III opens May 24. (After the break check out the movie’s official poster that parodies the eighth and final Harry Potter “It All Ends” poster.)

Compare this to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 poster. Uncanny, huh?
If you’re a Joss Whedon devotee like me then you’ve been waiting on this trailer for quite some time now. Here’s our first look at his indie project, a retelling of Shakespeare’s classic comedy Much Ado About Nothing. Shot on a tiny budget at Joss’ Santa Monica-based house over the course of twelve days while he was shooting The Avengers, Much Ado brings together a whole lotta actors he’s worked with before across his television and film projects; Amy Acker (Dollhouse), Alexis Denisof (Buffy, Angel), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Clark Gregg (The Avengers), Fran Kranz (Dollhouse), and Sean Maher (Firefly) just to name a few. Joss’ Bellwether Pictures has teamed with Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions to bring the black-and-white picture to North American theatres June 7. Currently the director and his talented ensemble cast are making the rounds at SXSW in Austin, Texas to hype the modernized classic before its summer release.
It’s always been Flint’s dream to be recognized as a great inventor, but everything changes when he discovers that his most infamous machine — which turns water into food — is still operating and is now creating mutant food beasts. With the fate of humanity in his hands, Flint and his friends must embark on a dangerously delicious mission, battling hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, apple pie-thons, double bacon cheespiders and other food creatures to save the world… again!
Sony Pictures Animation’s next release is a sequel to the well-embraced 2009 animated flick Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Almost the entire voice cast from the first one are back here, including Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood, Anna Faris as Sam Sparks, James Caan as Tim Lockwood, Andy Samberg as Brent McHale, and Neil Patrick Harris as Steve. Directors Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn (they both worked on the first film) replace original helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, but the latter two are still onboard as executive producers. Cloudy 2 hits theatres September 27. As much as I enjoyed the first one, I’m not so sure a sequel is necessary; what say you?
The final four trailers posted below are fresh new looks at Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 (May 3), J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness (May 17), M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth (June 7), and Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion (April 12).
