Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello has reported via Twitter that “ABC confirms that Lost’s sixth and final season will total 18 hours, including two-hour premiere and two-hour finale.”  Originally, the final season was supposed to have 16 hours.  However, due to the writer’s strike shortening season four, two extra hours have been added to season 6.  Everyone rejoice!  Lost : The Final Season airs in January 2010.
